PE recycling with the ReadyMac – How it works:

The ReadyMac is based on EREMA's patented TVE technology. This is a globally unique extrusion technology that has been specially developed for demanding applications.

During the recycling process, PE waste is shredded, cleaned and then processed into granulate. e filtration of the melt takes place before degassing. This improves the entire recycling process and ensures outstanding PE regranulate.

The throughput capacity for PE recycling reaches up to 500 kg/h depending on material properties, moisture content, printing and degree of contamination. Even with challenging input material, process stability remains high.

1. Material feed

LDPE, HDPE or LLDPE films, flakes and regrind (moist or printed) are fed into the system.

2. Melt filtration

The material is optimally melted and finely filtered using a laser filter. This efficiently removes impurities and contaminants.

3. Homogenization & extruder degassing

The revolutionary TVE technology combines uniform melting with powerful degassing in a single pass.

4. Granulation

The end result is a high-quality, lens-shaped regranulate with high purity and optimum properties for further processing.

PE types in detail: What ReadyMac can process

The innovative multipurpose screw makes it possible to recycle a wide range of thermoplastics. ReadyMac processes washed PE films, film scraps and regrind. The HD version is particularly suitable for heavily contaminated LDPE from agriculture.

All types and forms of polyethylene can be recycled efficiently:

  • LDPE recycling: LDPE (low-density polyethylene) is soft and flexible. It is often used for packaging films, agri films, bags and tubes.
  • HDPE recycling: HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is stiffer and more resistant than LDPE. It is often used for bottles, containers, pipes, toys and plastic caps.
  • LLDPE recycling: LLDPE (linear low-density polyethylene) is a linear form of LDPE. This material is often used in stretch films, packaging and coatings.

In addition to PE recycling, ReadyMac also enables the recycling of the following materials:

  • PP film or fleece with solid contamination
  • Printed or metallized film
  • PS, PC und PA 6.0
  • Heavily contaminated material (in the heavy-duty version)
